George, Margaret, Franklin, Fanney, Ida & Emma were all still single and living at home in the 1880 Hempstead, Queens Census. Emma appears sensitive about her age: in 1870 she is 2, in 1880 she is 16, twenty years later in 1900 she is only 27, and in 1920 she is 50. So the birthdate on the 1900 census cannot be relied upon.

Emma was living in 1902 when her mother's sister, Fannie Duryea Brewer's estate was settled and she rec'd her portion of her mother's share.
