Emma was listed as living in Kingwood District at the home of her sister, Virginia and her husband, George Castle in June 1900. (US Census)

Emma inherited from her father Lot 8 in the Orr Addition in Kingwood. This possibly is the prior location of her grandfather's steam mill. This currently is located on Fortney Avenue.

In 1910, the family was living in Greenbrier County in the Anthony's Creek District. William was working for the Neola Lumber Company.

In the 1920 Census, The Buehrers were living in Elkins, WV.
