    Death of Mrs. Ricker.

Mrs. George F. Rlcker, a resident of this city for many years, and one of its most charitable and benevolent women, died, shortly after 7, Wednesday morning, at her residence, 13 Clinton street. She was born in Boston 56 years ago. Previous to her marriage, Mrs. Rlcker was a resident of Brighton and Allston.

In 1872, she was married to Mr. Ricker in this city, and since the couple had made their home here. For years she was a faithful member of the Brighton Unitarian Church, later, a member of the Lee Street Unitarian Church, of this city, but for some years past had been prominent in the work of the Austin Street Unitarian Church. She had always been noted for her charity and her many kindly acts for the poor of Cambridge will ever be remembered. For many years Mrs. Ricker was president of the Cambridgeport Fruit and Flower Mission, a society incorporated under the laws of this state, which organization distributed flowers, fruit and other delicacies to the poor, sick and feeble. She is survived by her husband.

The funeral services will be held this afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. Henry Hallam Saunderson, pastor of the Austin Street Church.

    EMELINE MIRIAM RICKER

Funeral services for Mrs. Ricker were held at her late residence, 13 Clinton street, last Saturday afternoon, a large number of associates and friends being in attendance. Whittier's "Psalm of Life" was very feelingly sung by the quartet of the Austin Street Unitarian church as an opening number, which was followed by scripture reading by her pastor, Rev. H. H. Saunderson, and a well deserved eulogy by her former pastor, Rev. A. P. Reccord, who closed with a fitting poem. Another selection by the choir was given, after which Mr. Saunderson added emphasis to the words of Mr. Reccord, who had told of her unselflsh deeds of goodness for many years and the esteem in which she was held, as attested by the large representation of bodies to which she belonged and the floral gifts so eloquently though silently confirming this estimate of her hold upon the hearts of the people. Prayer and a benediction hymn closed the impressive services.

Organizations to which she belonged and which honored her by beautiful tributes of flowers were the Fruit and Flower mission, Associated Charities, Woman's Christian Temperance union, Austin Street church and Sabbath school, the Woman's Alliance, New England Order of Protection, and the Young Women's Christian association, of which she was director. A touching feature of the occasion was the presence at the services of the deceased's Sabbath school class, to which she was always greatly devoted.
