    ============================================================================================================================================

    ELSIE (MYERS) MERRIAM
Elsie A. Merriam was born in Woodland township, Barry Co., Michigan,
    Sept. 6, 1876 and died Sept. 22, 1915 aged 39 yrs and 16 days.

She was married to Wallace H. Merriam December 23, 1902. Over twenty
years ago she was converted under the labors of Rev. N. U. Miller, and a
short time after her conversion she became a member of the United
Brethren church, Tamarack class, Michigan Conference, where she remained
a faithful member until her removal to Woodland Village a few years ago,
when she with her husband united with the M. E. church, of which she
remained a member until her death.

She lived nearly all her life near her old home and birth place.

She leaves a husband, an adopted babe, a mother, and a brother, with
many relatives and a host of friends, whose loss will be keenly felt.

Mrs. Merriam's illness dates back several years. About three years ago
she was at Ann Arbor for special treatments. It took some months to
recover from this operation, and her last illness proved that she had
received only temporary relief. At that time cancer was suspected, but
the final attack was not expected so soon. Her father--the late Hodge
    Myers--died of the same cause.

Funeral was held Saturday from the M. E. church at 10 o'clock. Rev. L.
    B. Kenyon officiated. Interment in Lakeside cemetery.
