Services held for Elmer Holly

Funeral services for Elmer J. Holly were held Fri., Feb. 24, 1978, at 11 am in St. Patrick's Church, Monona. The concelebrated Mass was offered by Msgr. Donald Heineman and Msgr. Vernon Peters.

Elmer Joseph Holly, son of John and Mary (Lestina) Holly, was born Nov. 2, 1902, in Giard Township and passed away at his home in Monona on Tues., Feb. 21, 1978.

He received his education in the rural schools and St. Patrick's Parochial School. He was united in marriage to Irene E. Moses on Nov. 18, 1925, and farmed until 1938, when they moved to Monona. He worked at the lumberyard for a number of years and then was self-employed as a carpenter until the past several years when his health restricted his work.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, six sisters and one grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Delores Kurth of Luana, one son, Norbert of Monona, nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren, one brother, George, one sister, Rose Schrader, and many nieces and nephews.
