Facts and Events
Elizabeth Williamson was baptised on 24th January 1803 at Wittering in Northamptonshire, daughter of Richard and Mary Williamson. On 24th April 1821, aged 18, Elizabeth married Matthew Cox, a blacksmith from the neighbouring parish of Barnack. They married at Barnack, but returned to Wittering three months later to have their first son baptised. A daughter followed just over a year later, in 1822, who was baptised at Barnack. Elizabeth died the following year, aged twenty. She was buried at Barnack on 24th September 1823. Her children were two and one when she died. Matthew survived her by nearly forty years, and remarried in 1825. References
