Elizabeth Williamson was baptised on 24th January 1803 at Wittering in Northamptonshire, daughter of Richard and Mary Williamson.

On 24th April 1821, aged 18, Elizabeth married Matthew Cox, a blacksmith from the neighbouring parish of Barnack. They married at Barnack, but returned to Wittering three months later to have their first son baptised. A daughter followed just over a year later, in 1822, who was baptised at Barnack.

Elizabeth died the following year, aged twenty. She was buried at Barnack on 24th September 1823. Her children were two and one when she died. Matthew survived her by nearly forty years, and remarried in 1825.

    Baptisms / 1803 / Jan[uar]y 24th Elizabeth Daugh[te]r of Rich[ar]d & Mary Williamson

This baptism has been linked to the Elizabeth Williamson who married Matthew Cox on the basis that it is at about the time implied by the age given when she died, and in the parish in which they had their first child baptised. No evidence has been found to suggest the Elizabeth baptised in 1803 died young in Wittering or married someone else there.
