- ↑ The date and place of Elizabeth's birth are unknown. One undocumented source gives a date of 13 Aug 1709 (World Family Tree), another gives a date of about 1711 (in Essex County, Virginia).(Ancestry.com Family Tree). Given the approximate birth date of her oldest known child, Elizabeth could have been born as late as 1714. Based on the estimated birth of her presumed youngest child, Elizabeth could have been born as early as 1703 or slightly earlier. An estimated date of about 1705 splits the difference between the two possible dates and makes her about the same age as her husband.
