From Ollie Long Smith's 1934 letter: Eliza was born either Burton, Geauga Co, OH or Beaver Co, PA. Moved to (W)VA at age 14.

She married about a month before her mother died and Eliza had promised her mother that she would take her younger sister Ollie into her new home with her when her mother died. So Ollie probably lived with Eliza until Ollie went to live with her father in about 1860.

Eliza's second husband, Will Hutchinson, was deaf and Eleanor May could do the sign language for the deaf. The name on her tombstone is Elizabeth Hall Hutchinson 1837 - 1904. See note on Henry James Hall.
