Parentage of Elizabeth Moore

Note: the father of Elizabeth Moore is said to have been Robert Moore "of Timber Ridge", Rockbridge County, Virginia. Additional research/sources needed.

From "The French Broad-Holston Country, The History of Knox County, Tennessee", by The Knox County History Committee, edited by Mary U. Rothrock, pg. 392-393:

Before entering the ministry he (Rev. Samuel Carrick) had married, in Rockbridge County, Virginia, Elizabeth Moore, daughter of Robert Moore of Timber Ridge.

He (Rev. Samuel Carrick) married in 1794 as his second wife, Annis McClennan, of Knoxville. Of Carrick's six children, Elizabeth married Hugh Lawson White. Elizabeth Moore Carrick was buried by the women of the neighborhood at Lebanon churchyard; Annis McClellan Carrick who survived her husband removed with her brother, William to Missouri. Samuel Czar Carrick's grave is in the First Presbyterian Churchyard in Knoxville.
