Note that it is only speculation that John Goodwin's wife Elizabeth was the daughter of Ambrose and Amy (Wyche) Jackson. The Goodwin and Jackson families were related through the Wyche family, and the speculation appears to have originated with researchers of the Wyche and/or Goodwin families. A well-researched (although flawed) article[2] published in Virginia Genealogist in 1988 does not mention Elizabeth as a possible child of Ambrose and Amy (Wyche) Jackson.
