DAVID H. HALL was born in the "Corncracker" State, January 19, 1829; his parents were Moses and Elizabeth (Crawford) Hall, natives also of that State, but now deceased.

He first married, in Kentucky, Anna E. Delph, who died in 1860.

In 1866, Mr. Hall emigrated to this county, settling near Mechanicsburg, and this year he married Maria B. Hall, daughter of Benjamin Logan Hall; only two of their six children are now living, Evelin L., and Anna B.; the deceased are Robert Lee, Bessie, Franklin, and an infant.

In 1871, he moved upon his present farm, which consists of four hundred and five acres, well improved and worth $75 an acre. Mr. and Mrs. Hall are members of the First Presbyterian Church at Springfield, and politically he is a Democrat.
