1930 census states both parents born in Scotland. Possibly a mistake.

1910 states both parents born in Pennsylvania. Also states she at this time had given birth to 7 children, with only 3 living. Also states she couldn't read or write.

Obituary states she was covered with flaming fluid when the kerosene she threw into a stove on what she thought was a "dead fire" exploded. A neighbor put out the minor flames and took Mrs. Early to the hospital. Neither the Joliet or East Joliet fire departments were called to the scene. It happened several days earlier and she died at the hospital. Funeral services were conducted on 12/7/1948 in Fred C. Dames funeral home, Center at Campbell St. with Rev. Lee E. Coleman officiating. (death occured on Sunday, and the injuries were on Tuesday 12/1/1948)
