Elizabeth Dugger was born ca 1806/07 in Ashe Co, NC. She was named as a child of David in the 1915 article in "A History of Watauga County". I don't know if there is any additional proof available.

Elizabeth Dugger married Jehiel Smith on or after 11 Sep 1833 (date of marriage bond) in Ashe (now Watauga) Co, NC. He was apparently married before to someone else, as his oldest child (Ebenezer) was born in 1828. Either that, or they were having children together before being legally married.

Jehiel Smith was listed on the 1830 census in Ashe County, with a number of people residing with him. He was on the same page as Elizabeth's brother Henry Dugger.

I have birth dates for most members of this family, but I don't know where I got them from. They are all consistent with the census records, so they are probably accurate, but I'd like to know the source for them.
