Elizabeth joined the church in Milford on 5 February 1642/1643 and married Richard Baldwin that same year. Richard was active in the settlement at Derby CT and was named "moderator". After the death of her first husband, Elizabeth married 2 November 1670 at Milford, Capt. William Fowler.[2] William's will described Elizabeth as a "tender, dutiful and loving wife," and he wished for her to continue to "live with his children, to be a guide and help them as a mother, and head of a family." (The children were all by William's first wife.)
