When Eliza's Dad Jacob Clay Warner died in his obit she was referred to as the wife of Squire John Clark. Do you know what the Squire title was all about. Also do you have John's mother and fathers names. Thanks, Darrell Original Message ----- From: Lana Lyons To: Darrell Warner Sent: Sunday, September 01, 2002 4:17 PM Subject: Re: CLARK FAMILY Hi Darrell, Fortunately, my mother, Lucy Mildred Clark Reynolds, daughter of Martin Luther Clark and Fannie Wells, granddaughter of John Albert Clark and Martha Wells, could answer your question about Squire John Clark. Squire was a title of respect. Squire John was an honest, upstanding man in all his dealings with other people, therefore that title was given to him. Another item of interest. Both John Albert and Eliza Warner died in Bourbon County, not Bath County. John, at his home near North Middletown, and Eliza, later the same year, at a different home, located near Plum Lick in Bourbon County. My mother, Lucy Mildred, lived with them and two or three of their children, from the time she was a few months old until they both passed away. I do not know who John Albert's parents were. I have not had a lot of time to research this, but I will in the future. I have been trying to find my husband's ancestors for several months now. If I do find out who his parents were I will send you the info. Thanks for the obit on Mr. Case. That fills in some more on the family tree. Lana References
