Great-great-grandmother of contributor Jillaine Smith.

She emigrated on the ship "Fanny" arriving June 1845 with her mother and several sisters. She married a few years after her arrival to Leonard SCHMIDT (1818-1872).

At her 1891 death, she was a widow living at 566 Adam St., in the 6th Ward.

Burial location (Concordia) is from St. Peters church records of her death (1891). This has been confirmed by her presence on the index of Concordia cemetery records. Her tombstone was located in 2003; she is near her brother, Heinrich Betz.

Her descendancy is well documented to the present on many branches. Surnames include: Schmidt, Schueler, Barber, Chandler, Faller, Bourne, Bolton, Roth, Burns, Young, Deinzer, Denzel, Miller, Fassnacht, McCormack, Lo, Mittleman, Galus, Martin, Febick, Kuchler, Ward, Bolt, Schoelzel, Tetlow, Wilhelm, Evans-Smith, Heffley, Lewin, Hartman, Kraps, Warman, Bogdonoff, Wollschlager, Neal, Reese, Schmitt, Rowland, Chambers, Sigrist, McCabe, Faulkenbury, Campbell, Kurtz, Searight.
