Parish registers of Holbeton, Devonshire show marriage of Ellias Stone of Charlstone & Jone Stidston on 29 Dec 1648 and baptism on 14 Apr 1660 of son Elias, the son being, "without doubt the immigrant to New England".

  3. Death certainly preceded 1744 when the deed cited was executed, the heirs selling land belonging to their father. Source:Wyman, Thomas Bellows. Genealogies and Estates of Charlestown, Massachusetts, 1629-1818, p. 906 is a little confusing about which deeds Elias Sen. participated in, and which Elias Jr. was in. Vol. 36, p. 101 appears to be the last deed Elias Sen. executes, giving land from his father in Law "William Stiltson" to "my several children" 24 Feb 1734/35, while Vol. 43, p. 527 to C. Ford in 1738 and Vol. 50:160 to Simon Bradshaw in 1737 appear to be Elias Stone Jr. with other heirs selling the land from the 1734 deed.
