"Hanford, Eleazer, s. of Thomas. Born at Norwalk, 15 Sept. 1670; d. there before 1728. … Eunice and Phinehas chose Capt. Samuel Hanford for guardian, 2 Apr. 1728; and John Reed was appointed guardian to Mary and Eleazer. Distribution, not made until 4 May 1759: Widow; eldest son Phineas; Eleazer; Mary wife of Elisha Alvord; heirs of Eunice Whitney; heirs of Sarah Darrow. John Reed (for his wife Hannah, and as guardian to his son-in-law Eleazer and dau.-in-law Mary Hanford), Phineas Hanford, and John Darrow and wife Sarah of Norwalk, conveyed 19 May 1737 to Josiah Whitney and Eunice his wife of Norwalk, right in Est. of Mr. Eleazer Hanford dec’d.
