Will of "Elizer Hides of Newton yeoman being weake and Infirme of body", dated 3 May 1731, proved 29 Oct 1731, names wife Marcy ["all movables shee brought with her into my Estate"]; daughter Hannah Hides; daughter Mindwell the wife of Jospeh Cooke ["movabells that was her owne Mothers"]; only son Eliezer Hides. Son Eliezer to be executor, cousin William Hides to be overseer. 26 Oct 1731: Assent of heirs to proving of will, signed by Hannah Hide, Joseph Cook, Mindwell Cook. 2 Dec 1731: Inventory of Eliezer Hides Late of Newton decsed, includes list of "Movabell Estate which the widdow MaryMercy Hides brought with her at her Marriage" £62-11-00, list of estate which "belongs to the two daughters which was their owne Mothers" £7-03-06, by John Staples, Daniel Hide, Joseph Hide.
