Murder of Samuel Jenks

Eleanor was arrested after with her husband in relation to the murder of Samuel Jenks, and was later convicted of being an accessory to murder. Her husband, William, was found guilty of manslaughter in the second degree and sentenced to six years of labor at Clinton prison. Her sister, Eleanor, who was the wife of Benjamin Culver, was also arrested, but is believed to have been acquitted.
