Sizer, Edward Lewis d. 20 Sep 1883 30 yrs. R89/293 Sizer. Suddenly on September 20, 1883 at 6:20 a.m., Edwin L. Sizer in the 31st year of his age. In the midst of life we are in death. Funeral from the residence of his parents, 419 9th streets southwest on Sunday, September 23 at 2:30 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. The Evening Star, September 21, 1883 The Death of Edward L. Sizer Killed by an Overdose of Morphine Mr. Edward L. Sizer died at his home, No. 419 9th street, yesterday morning, from the effects of an overdose of morphine, as he was too nervous to sleep without it. When some one went to rouse him, shortly afterward, he was found to be in a stupor. He died the next morning at the hour stated. The deceased, who was in his 31st year, was formerly engaged in business as a drug clerk. Lately he had been connected with river excursions, and was arranging at the time of his death for an excursion and oyster roast at Classic shore next Sunday. The funeral will take place from 419 9th street southwest, Sunday afternoon, at half-past two o'clock.
