Butler. / There were seven entries of Boar Awards are to Alonzo Tyler, Lanceboro, $5 00 / Joshua Gorton, Lanceboro, 4 00 James Dewell, West Stockbridge, 3 00 / There were eight entries of sows and pigs, on which the awards are to E. S. Rowley, Richmond, 6 00; Elisha Collins, Stockbridge, 5 00; J. H. Butler, Dalton, 4 00; S. A. Goodcll, Pittsfield, 3 00; Amos Shepardson, Lanceboro, 2 00; Abram Burbank, Pitsfield, 1 00 / It was found that Mr. Rowley, who took the first premium of $6, had obtained it fraudulently by adding pigs not the progeny of the stow, whereupon the society ordered that his premiums in this and all other departments be forfeited, and that the awards to competitors below him be correspondingly advanced in rank and amount of premiums.
