1910 Census, District 7, Civil District 4, Clay County, Tennessee Jackson, Josiah C. head M W 33 M2 9yrs TN TN TN Jackson, Texanna wife F W 40 M2 9yrs TN TN TN Jackson, Don stepson M W 15 S TN TN TN (indexed as Dore) Jackson, Martin stepson M W 10 S TN TN TN (twin) Jackson, Baty stepson M W 10 S TN TN TN (twin) (indexed as Baby) Jackson, Edward son M W 11 S TN TN TN Jackson, Hilary P. son M W 7 S TN TN TN Jackson, B. Verdie E. dau F W 5 S TN TN TN (the B. is not on the 1920 census) Jackson, Reuben R. son M W 3 S TN TN TN Jackson, Maggie M. dau F W 2 S TN TN TN The stepchildren were all enumerated as Jacksons. It could be that Texanna's first husband was a Jackson also; or it could be just an enumerator's error. The twins were only about 1 year old when Texanna and Josiah were married; so he was the only father they knew. Edward's age is illogical unless this was a second marriage for Josiah as well as for Texanna. I first thought the M2 on Josiah's record was an error, but after examining Edward's age and the twins ages, I tend to think it was a second marriage for him also and that Texanna was not Edward's birth mother.
