    "Mrs. James Matthews Dead"
    Mrs. James Matthews died at her home in this city Sunday morning at 11:35 o'clock after an operation at the Davis Sanitarium. Mrs. Matthews had been an invalid for years, and for the past fourteen months has been confined to her bed. The disease which caused her death was an internal cancer. She was 33 years of age. The funeral was held at the First Baptist church at 9 o'clock a.m., the service being conducted by the pastor of the church, Rev. W. B. McGarity, after which the remains were conveyed to Jessie for interment in the cemetery there.
