OBITUARY FROM BURLINGTON TIMES-NEWS: Edna Kivett Murray - (Malachi > Malachi II > Christian > Austin > Joel S. > Lorah) BURLINGTON — Mrs.. Edna Kivett Murray, 81, of 1604 W. Front St., died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Twin Lakes Center after a critical illness of two months. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Mr. Edward Lane Murray, and the daughter of Mr. Thomas Henry Kivett and Mrs.. Lorah Isley Kivett, both deceased. She was a retired secretary from Burlington Industries and was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Burlington Women’s Club. Survivors include a son, Mr. Thomas E. Murray of the home; and a sister, Mrs.. Mary Kivett Graves of Burlington. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs.. Elizabeth Lane Maxwell; and a sister, Mrs.. Ann Crane. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Stephen C. Rust, pastor. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Lutheran Church, 421 W.
