Edmund Tudor, Duke of Somerset (21 February 1499 – 19 June 1500) was the sixth child of Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York. Edmund's elder siblings (in order of birth) were Arthur, Prince of Wales, Margaret, queen consort of Scotland, Henry VIII of England, Elizabeth and Mary, Queen consort of France. His only younger sibling was Katherine. From birth he was titled Duke of Somerset, although that peerage was never formally created for him. He was christened on the 24th of February. He was present with his elder siblings, Margaret, Henry and Mary when Erasmus and Thomas More visited their royal nursery in the summer of 1499, when Edmund was months old.
