[Note: As is cited, Newbury records give two birth records for Edmund with different dates. This source shows a sister Mary b. 6 Dec 1671, which may have influenced its choice of which one to use, but the Newbury record gives Mary's birth as 6 Dec 1676. So, either date fits, and no particularly compelling reason to favor either one. Source:Coffin, Allen. Coffin Family, p. 55, uses the 1670 date, perhaps the phonetic spelling suggesting it is more contemporary?]
