Disposition of Land in Rockbridge County Records:
- Page 53, 14 April 1789 - Edmund Crump and Eleanor his wife of Green Co. NC for one part and Moses Trimble of Rockbridge Co. for the other part. For 100 pounds paid by Trimble for a tract of land containing 142 acres, a part of land containing 142 acres, a part of 330 acres belong to James Bailey adj. John Taylor, James Bailey. Signed: Edmund (E) Crump and Eleanor (M) Crump Witnesses: Jno Lyle, James MCCampbell, Thos. Russell. [Rockbridge Ct. Va Deed Book B 1788-1793] (Note: Greene County was part of North Carolina in 1789, became part of Tennessee when it achieved statehood in 1796).
