EDITH MARGARET STRODE: Edith came into this world at 7 months and very small, her grandmother wapped her up and put her in a shoe box and set the shoe box on the open oven door to keep her warm. As of September 1998 she has out lived all but one of her sibblings, next to the youngest Gladys Hansen. She was married to Clinton 2 days shy of 25 years when he died. She bore 3 childern twins Patricia & Bobby, Bobby was still born , and Monte 5 years later. She later married Bud Pawson and lived with him till he died. While still in Colorado she worked for the W.P.A. When she moved to california she leld different jobs, but worked for the Los Angeles City schools in the kitchen and at the California State Unemploment office the longest. She was working for the schools when she retired. While she was married to Bud they lived in San Ferando Valley Ca. Then moved to Magalia in Northern California ,where she lived till she was about 85 then she moved back to Long Beach, Ca. about 3 blocks from her daughter. When she was 87 she could no longer live by herself so she moved in with her daughter and son-in-law Frank. In January of 1997 Monte, Patricia & Frank had to put her in a home where she could get 24 hour care. By the end of 1997 she no longer knew who any of them were.
