Magee Thomas, 315 Liberty St, Sharon, died at 9:15 AM today 5 Feb 1987 in O’Brien’s Memorial Nursing Home, Masury, where she had been a patient one year after an extended illness. She was 94. Mrs. Thomas was born in Sharon, 12 Jan 1893 to Seth and Sarah Stuart magee. A life long resident of the area, she graduated from Sharon High School and was a 1914 graduate of the former Slippery Rock Normal School. She previously taught at the Old Mine No 5 School. During WWII she worked at National Castings Division, Midland Ross Corp. Mrs. Thomas was a lifelong resident of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Sharon; Rebekah Lodge 284, Sharon, and Ladies of Golden Eagles. Her husband Richard Aaron Thomas whom she married 19 Jan 1922, died in May 1941. Surviving are a son, Richard O Thomas, Sharon, a grandson, and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Carl Magee; and two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Shaffer and Mrs. Mattie Thompson.
