Published in the Richmond Times-Dispatch on 4/6/2004: Tullis, Edgar E. (Ed) Edgar E. (Ed) Tullis, age 87, of Midlothian died April 5, 2004. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Peg); daughter, Patricia Mile; granddaughter, Colleen Mile; brother, James Tullis and his wife, Barbara; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother and two sisters. Born in Rockford Wis., Ed graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, as a Civil Engineer. He served for 5 years in WWII as a commander in the Navy and later was a civilian employee of the Federal Naval Department. A world traveler, he spent 14 years in the South Pacific before being called to Washington D.C. A memorial service will be held at Brandermill Woods Retirement Chapel on Wednesday, April 7 at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be sent to the Brandermill Church or the Brandermill Retirement Center.
