Earl Marks

Madisonville, Ky. Earl Marks, 69, of Madisonville, died at 4:56 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

He was born Jan. 16, 1937, in Webster County, Ky to Laslie and Macy McDowells Marks. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and Green River Loggers Council. He retired from Kroger as a manger.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Doris Marks of Madisonville; one daughter, Cheri Rogers of Hanson, Ky; three sons, Bruce marks of Nebo, Ky., and Danny Marks and Barry Marks, both of Sacramento, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Tondra Daugherty officiating, Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon, Ky.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund in Madisonville. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
