Dorothy M. Thompson Foster Mother to 300 Children

Mrs. Dorothy M. Thompson, 51, of 3008 117th Street, Foster mother to more than 300 children died yesterday in her home.

Mrs. Thompson was a life long Toledo resident and for the last 25 Years had boarded children for the Child and Family Agency and the Child Welfare Board. Her home was a receiving home for Child Walfare and she has as many as 11 small children in her home at one time.

She was a member of Point Place Congregational Church; Toledo Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and Navy Mothers Club of America.

Surviving are her daughters, Mrs. Prudence M. Hoffman and Karen, Toledo; sons Robert, Toledo and Anthony with the Navy at Norfolk, Va; brothers, Herbert, Matthew and Walter Getzinger, and three grandchildren.

The body will be in the Wlaker Feilbach Mortuary, Talmadge Road, after 1 p.m. tomorrow. Services will be Monday at 1p.m. in the mortuary. Burial will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
