  • Mrs. Doris Lucille Marks, 75, of Madisonville, KY, died at 3:45 A.M., Friday, January 15, 2010, at her residence.

She was born December 9, 1934 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Kent Hubert and Fairy Edilene Forbes Hendricks. She was also preceded in death by her husband Earl Marks, one son, Danny Marks, one sister, Betty Wagner and one brother, Bobby Hendricks.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Madisonville.

She is survived by one daughter, Cheri (Rob) Rodgers of Hanson, KY; two sons, Bruce Marks of Nebo, KY, and Barry (Melissa) Marks of Sacramento, KY; daughter-in-law, Kim Marks of Sacramento; two sisters, Lou (David) Adams of Madisonville and Shirley (Doug) Vandiver of Manitou, KY and one sister-in-law, Anna Lee Hendricks of Madisonville; one brother, David (Susan) Hendricks of Manitou; one brother-in-law, Earlene Wagner of Sacramento; nine grandchildren, Thad Pepper, Sam Pepper, Jacob Rodgers, Tara Marks, Sloane Marks, Jacquelyn Ball, Tyler Marks, Amanda Marks and Tanner Marks and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 2:00 P.M., at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Tondra Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Dixon, KY.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., and from 12:00 noon until the service time on Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Relay for Life of Hopkins County. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
