To-Do: Where was she born, look in vital records BIOGRAPHY: According to the front page newspaper article in the May 2, 1918 issue of "The Princeton Union," (Vol. 42, No. 19) she was in "a most deplorable accident," while driving the horses, helping her husband pull out a stump on the farm near Baldwin, near Princeton. She was "struck by the sweep of the stump puller," and was rushed to the hospital, but the contusion to her abdomen was too severe to save her life and she "passed away at 8PM" ("last Thurday = 25 April 1918). She is survived by her husband and three children; Roy 17, Floyd 13 and Lawrence 11. Funeral services at the home were conducted by Rev. Geer. |
