Korean War Veteran

The funeral for DeWitt C. Foster, 70, retired construction worker and a veteran of the Korean War, will be Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Saturday. Mr. Foster's parents are the late Leonard Lee and Leota Mary Goodrich. His wife Leona Monday, died on March 7, 1974. Mr. Foster was a member of the VFW and Eagles and First Church of God in Columbia City. He graduated from Columbia City High School with the class of 1934. Surviving are two stepdaughters: Gloria Benedict and Barbara O'Aesiandor, both of Massachusetts; 10 step-grandchildren and several step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Walker of Columbia City. Dr. Richard Osberg and the Rev. David Green will officiate at the service. Burial will be in South Park Cemetery. Mr. Foster died Oct. 10 at Miller's Merry Manor.
