  4. The baptism record, being the most contemporaneous, is assumed correct. The age at death, being one year off, could be a math error or bad memory, but is not only not as contemporaneous, but probably second-hand since reported to the town clerk after he died. Sargent is one year off in the other direction, and is one year off from several baptism records for this family. Since he does not identify his source, we have to assume the baptism record is more reliable.
