--GaleB 04:45, 20 January 2008 (EST)Dennis Jr appears on the tax lists of Somerset Co., MD bet 1723-1737. He bought land from the widow, Deborah Mechan/Mochan, in 1725. Later, James Driskell, heir of Dennis, sells this same land.

Somerset Co., MD Liber GH, May 12, 1725, pg. 230 Deborah Mochan/Mechan of Somerset Co., MD widdow to Dennis Driskole of the same county, for divers cause and consideration her thereunto moving but more especially for 60 pounds, four hundred acres of “Fork Neck” on the south side of Rockawalkin river about 2 miles from (Tuncatonk?) Indian Town.

Liber MF, March 17, 1740, pg. 207 Dennis Driskill, planter to Moses Gordie, planter For 15 pounds current money of Maryland Dennis Driskill conveys to Moses Gordie all that part of a tract of land or moiety of a tract of land granted to the said Driskill by patent dated the 10th of September 1724 being the south west part of the said tract or moiety that lies to the south west of a divisional line made by the said Dennis Driskill and George Maglammery through the said tract it being the land and part of the said tract whereon the said Moses Gordie lives, the tract containing 100 acres and called "Dennis Addition" and the moiety being 50 acres of land along with all houses, orchards, fences, etc.

The land "Fork Neck" was purchased in 1725. Dennis Sr was deceased in 1721 so it has to be Dennis Jr buying this land. James Driskell, heir and son of Dennis Driskell sells this same land, in parts, bet. 1756-1761. (See James, son of Dennis Jr, for add'l deeds).

The land "Dennis Addition" is probably the same as "Addition" willed by Dennis Sr to his son Dennis Jr.
