We are told in the description of her scrapbook that the father’s letters are on stationery of Yegen Bros. - Importers and Jobbers, Billings, Montana. The brothers in question were Swiss immigrants Christian Yegen and Peter Yegen. It was further suggested that 'The family must have been WEALTHY and CONNECTED', but would a wealthy father haave been using someone else's stationary. Could the Yegens have been Della's connections? Christian Yegen was Vice president, Yegen Bros., merchants of Billings; President of Yegen Bros., bankers of Butte, Yegen Bros., Bankers of Billings and the Anaconda National Bank of Anaconda. He was a City Alderman in 1892, a member of the State Legislator in 1895, Mayor of Billings from 1898 to 1900 and in the State Senate from 1902 to 1906.
