Obituary - NAPA VALLEY REGISTER - Thursday, June 14, 2001
Deborah Jean Sweeden, born May 7,1955 in Berea, Ohio from the union of William and Gladys Goodhue, passed away Sunday June 10.
Debbie lived in various places within the United States until her high school years when she moved to Ukiah. She attended Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego and graduated in 1977.
In 1976 she married Russell Sweeden and they settled in Napa, in January, 1978.
Debbie was very active with children and youth at the Napa Church of the Nazarene at both local and district levels. Debbie was very talented in the way of arts, crafts, cooking, and she was an accomplished seamstress. Debbie was church secretary for over ten years. Debbie had big heart for others as she was involved in frequent mission trips to Mexico. Debbie was a cherished mother, wife, and friend to all who have known her.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Russell, sons Aaron and Josh and daughter, Elizabeth all of Napa. Debbie is also survived by her sisters, Kathy of New York, Susan of Pennsylvania, Sandy of California, Josie of Oregon, Mary of California, and brother Charles of Oregon.
Services will be held at the Napa Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, June 16 , at 2 p.m., 3305 Linda Vista Ave. Any donations can be sent to Mission Projects at the Napa Church of the Nazarene.
