Appears on Prospect Baptist Church Membership Rolls (1846-1892) in Christian Co, MO, as submitting letter of Recommendation; dismissed by letter Mar 1853. [2]. Mt. Pleasant Southern Baptist Church in Dallas Co, MO was orginized in the fall of 1869 by Elders John W. Fitch and David Morrow... " [3]

Letter from Mary Lou Morrow Chavez to Mrs. Scott dated 9 Mar 1988 states: William Arthur Morrow's oldest daughter (Lillian) says that we are part Indian and that would fit what Lorea Morrow said about David J. Morrow that his Mother was the daughter of a white woman that was captured by an Indian Chief. D.Js. was 1/2 cherokee or 1/4. She said, now remember, this was a tale told to me sixty years ago, but I have not forgotten it." [4]

Texas death certifcate # 286 # 11507 of Virlenia Morrow Myers (his daughter) says David was born in Dallas, MIssouri, but all the census records say that he was born in Tennessee.

Letter from William Nathaniel Myers. "Yes, my great grandparents on my mothers side were from Ireland (their name was Young. My grandfather Morrow (David James Morrow) was 1/32 Cherokee Indian and part Irish. My mother (Verlinia Morrow) was near a full Irish having 1/64 Cherokee. [5]
