David Morrow b. 1762, d. 1843 Lafayette Co, MS, m. Margaret Kelso is *not* the son of Old Samuel, the DNA suggests. Based on claims in pension papers and the pattern of DNA matches, he has been placed as the son of David Morrow and Agnes White. See Samuel’s notes.

Ray’s account of this family (take with a grain of salt!):
"David Morrow of Guilford Co, married Martha Brashears. David Morrow of Guilford County, NC, who married Martha Brashears the dau of Robert Brashears, moved to Mecklenburg Co NC where he died leaving a will in 1810, where he gives the names of all his children, but fails to mention the name of his wife. Martha Morrow his wife in her will probated 20 years later, names the same children with some grandchildren added, which identifies her.

James Gordon and Arron Houston are the executors named in the will of Martha Morrow, the widow."

Online information indicates grandaugther Mary K. is the only child of David’s son William, who married Margaret Crockett in 1794 and died 1801.
