NOTE: David Marsh is known to have been born in New Jersey and grew up in Pennsylvania. Below is documentation for the best scenario for him. In 1814 David's sister Hannah Conkling and her husband Pierson moved from Pennsylvania to Reily Township Butler County Ohio. Pierson and Hannah were both related to Ezekial Ross of Butler County. Siblings and nephews of Pierson Conkling and children and grandchildren of Hugh and Hannah Marsh of Warren County Pa did move to Butler County Ohio and Wayne County Indiana and of this Marsh and Conkling families. It is reasonable that David and his children may have also migrated with these groups.

In Shirley Keller Mikesell's book "Butler County, Ohio Land Records Volume 2: 1816-1823" there is an abstract of a land deed that mentions David Marsh on pg. 221

· "Deed dated 1822, Abraham Meddock & Elizabeth his wife to Edward Noble S 19, T 3 R 1; adj John Misner, Lewis Bonel. Signed Abraham Meddock, Elizabeth (X) Meddock. Witn. Thomas Ross, David Marsh, Brant Ignew rec. 1822 p. 162" [

This would be Book I of the land records T-3 R1 refers to Morgan Township .]

Also, in Mikesell's book on page 153:

· Deed dated 1819 Jacob Helmick of Hamilton Co to Joseph Brown. S30 T3 R1 in Morgan Tw: adj- Chrisman - Marsh, Signed Jacob Hemick, Prove (x) Helmick. Witn Henry Chrisman, William Alkins, JP's note: and Prove. His wife rec. 1820 pp 168, 169
