Daniel Veach Letter 23 March 1939 to Charles H. Veach, Kalida, OH, with information from pension claim R.10925, based on service of Daniel Veach Daniel Veatch (d. Jul 1806) married 1788 at Harrod’s Station, Lincoln County, Kentucky to Mrs. Charity Baker (b. 22 Apr 1769, d. 6 Feb 1850). Eleven D. Veach stated on 20 April 1853 that his father Daniel enlisted in Maryland, served “upwards of two years” until the close of the War, in the same company as his older brother Elijah, who drew a pension in Kentucky in 1826. E. D. Veatch lived in Woodford County, Kentucky in 1826. Letter 31 Dec 1934 from Jerome J. Veatch According to State Librarian Richmond, Virginia: Daniel Veach appears in our supplementary ‘List of the Revolutionary Soldiers of Virginia’ showing that he received a pension in Kentucky in 1835 Letter 8 Feb 1939 from Charles H. Veach Daniel Veach served in the War as a Private in Captain Uriah Springer’s Company of Light Infantry, 9th Virginia Regiment, commanded by Colonel John Gibson

Daniel Moore Daniel Veatch was born in 1755 in Frederick Co. Maryland and died about 1806 in Mercer County, KY. He married Charity Dowden, b. 22 April 1769 and died abt 6 Feb. 1850 in Mercer County, KY., 17 May 1791 in KY. Children: Hannah, Hester, Mary (Polly), isabella, John, Eleven Dowden and William. All children born in KY from 1792 to about 1805-1806. He was probably buried on Veatch family homestead cemetery in Mercer County, KY. Memorial# 64360051
