Daniel Townsend apparently died on route to Illinois to live on land purchased by the family. He died in the Cincinnati Oh area while travelling. His wife Margaret McClaskey Townsend continued on and established a home in Illinois. (Email from Roberta {DGrooms@mtco.com} 8/17/2003)
