    E-mail from Keith A. Dull, 11 Jul 2001 and Jul 2002:
Sometime in the 1790s, John, Daniel, and William all moved to Baltimore County, North Hundred, near the town of Ruhl, Maryland. The 1810 Census says John was in Mine Run Hundred, but the census taker was not doing a good job that year. They were close to the border of North and Mine Run. Adam Schmidt had a farm in North Hundred as did Georg Ruhl, who appears in Mine Run in 1810. Daniel Lightfoot resided in Baltimore County, North Hundred, Maryland in about 1797 until 1800 when he moved to York County, Codorus Township, Pennsylvania. In 1807, he moved to York County, Monaghan Township (the portion that is now Carroll Township), Pennsylvania. He appears on the Poor Lists of Monaghan Township from 1824 to 1831. He also appears on the 1828 Poor List of nearby Franklin Township presumably in an attempt to collect twice. He also lied about the ages of his children in order to continue collecting relief for them (York County provided relief for children between 4 and 12). Chaterina died in York County between 1830 and 1834. In the Fall of 1834, Daniel moved his family to Wayne County, Greene Township, Ohio. He appeared on the 1840 census there, and died before 1850.

... Daniel married Chaterina Salome Schmidt,3 4 9 24 25 daughter of Adam Schmidt and Maria Salome Dubbs, about 1797 in Ruhl, Baltimore County, Maryland.9 Chaterina was born about 17799 24 and died between 1830 and 1834 in Monaghan Township, York County, Pennsylvania.9

    Marriage Notes:
    E-mail from Keith A. Dull:
The first three daughters, Maria, Esther, and Sophia, were baptized at the Steltz Lutheran Church which is on the York County, Codonus Township, and Baltimore County border.
