About the middle of 1710 Daniel removed to Enfield, Conn., and before he went, on May 23, 1710, sold his brother Benjamin (No. 263) nine acres in Springfield (Longmeadow) [B-302, Hampshire (Hampden) Co. Reg. Deeds]. He was married the following November. … While a resident of Enfield, Daniel was (1715) on a committee to enforce the law regarding swine, and again in 1717. He was elected constable (1717-1718). … On March 5, 1720/1, Daniel's was the first name entered in 'A Record of ye names of such persons as have been admitted to ye Lords Table with the time when they were received' (Book of Records kept by the ministers of the Church in West Springfield). In 1745, at the time of his second marriage, Daniel Cooley is given in Westfield Town Records as a resident of Granville, Mass. But on Sept. 7, 1746, his second wife was admitted to membership in the First Church of West Springfield, by letter from the church in Westfield, Mass."
