DANIEL(3) CHASE (Daniel(2)), born in Newbury, 15 Oct. 1702; died in Concord, N. H., shortly before 16 Mar 1775. He married (1) in Newbury, 22 Jan. 1722/3, MARY CARPENTER, who died about 1725. He married (2), int. in Salisbury, 12 Feb 1725/26, ELIZABETH COLLINS of Salisbury, probably widow of John Collins of Salisbury. He was a shipwright and lived in Chandler's Lane (now Federal Street in Newburyport) and removed from Newbury to Concord. N. H., in Mar. 1733. The town was then called Rumford and he was one of the proprietors. He and his family were living in Timothy Walker's Garrison in May 1746. He was chosen surveyor of highways in Rumford, 11 Mar. 1733/34 and again 9 Mar. 1735/36. His will was proved 16 Mar. 1775.
