Samuel, s/o widow Damaris Shattuck, deposed 1674 age 58 [born abt 1616], joined Salem church 15 May 1642 [born bef 1621], died 1689 age 59 [sic, Find A Grave shows 69] so born about 1620. [These ages of her son imply Damaris was probably born around 1600.]
Her son Samuel was called cousin in will of Joseph Pope. It is speculated that Damaris might be a Pope to account for this, and other arrangements, but the explanation of the relationship and her maiden name are unknown.
