  • Westfall, Cornelius, born 3/9/1756; entered service 1776 in company commanded by brother Capt. Abel Westfall; appointed ensign in 1777; Pensioned 1818 in Knox County, Indiana; resided 1822 in Green County, Indiana, occupation farmer, when had wife Sarah/Sally age 53, daughter Suphina age 17, Susanna age 14, stepson Isaiah Hale age 24 & stepdaughter Elizabeth age 21; soldier's brother Abel then deceased, but brother Abraham still living; B.D. Breckenridge filed affidavit 1819 in Louisville, Kentucky, he was lieutenant of 8th Virginia REgiment in Revolutionary War & knew soldier then. F-36842, R2538.
